Works by 11 teen filmmakers from around the globe invite audiences to experience the world as they do every day – as a Kenyan teenager living in Africa’s second largest slum; as a 14-year-old Afghan seeking asylum in the U.K. after fleeing the war-torn country where his father was killed; and as a young U.S. Air Force enlistee whose life changes forever when she learns that toxic waste has been seeping into her community’s ground water.
“Given the intense cost‐cutting focus during the tough economic times of the past few years as well as periods of high energy costs, it’s likely many firms eyed green strategies as a means to help the bottom line,” said Tim Herbert, vice president of research for CompTIA, but noted part of the challenge is defining exactly what’s meant by the term green IT. “Green IT remains a fuzzy concept for many,” said Herbert. “Use of the term and its interpretation vary widely.”
A highly recognized certification in this space is the CompTIA CTP+ (Convergence Technologies Professional) credential. This certification provides verification of knowledge of essential professional level technologies, including data networking, telephony networking, and convergence technologies. Training is offered in three separate courses, with each course covering one of the areas listed above.
